I decided to create this short film when I was going through one of the worst periods of depression and anxiety in my life. There is still a stigma around those suffering from mental health problems; we are often regarded as “weak” and “fragile”. But perhaps, the fact that we struggle with these things is a proof that we are sensitive. It means that we feel things and because we feel things, we are capable of love, compassion, empathy; we can enjoy all the small blessings that makes our lives worth living. Perhaps being sensitive means that we get to live our life to its fullest. Re-sensitizing means refocusing our sensations on the beauty of the world around us and away from the grief, pain and suffering that often catches up with the best and the most-sensitive of us. This project was scripted, directed, filmed and edited by me.
